MIRACLE LEAGUE PARENT and FAMILY EXPECTATIONS
- Truthfully fill out the comment section at registration regarding any medical or behavior issues that will affect their child on the ball field.
- Communicate any changes the ML staff and buddies need to be aware of.
- Give the player a chance to get acclimated on the field and with the buddy before stepping in/on the field and then only with approval from coach or ML staff.
- Sit as a spectator as much as possible rather than being in dugout or on the field, unless coaching.
- Trust that the ML staff is aware of what is going on with the players and give us a chance to ask for help before stepping out.
- Communicate with the staff if there is a disconnect or issue with the buddy assigned to the player.
- Always check the website first if there is a doubt about playing conditions.
- Communicate ahead of time either in person, email or phone call, if player will not make a certain game.
- Know your player is welcome to come to another game as a “make up”.
- Understand that the ML staff has the discretion to make up cancelled games as well as to cancel games with threat of weather or illness.
- Understand that the ML staff is all volunteer with families and commitments outside of the Miracle League.
